Addicted to Creeks Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I'm thinking i should just buy the road runner heads and grubs separately so i can mix and match the bodies how i see fit...it also seems a lot cheaper to do it this way. this is correct right? Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. fishinwrench Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Probably. There is one thing I remember about Rr's and it is that the body of the grub needs to be kinda thin. If you add a thick bodied grub to it, it has a tendency to roll over on its side alot. Not a big deal if you are fishing them painfully slow, but if you are using them for smallies or whites it's nice to be able to speed things up a bit. Southern Pro makes some grubs and tubes that are perfect for them.
