OK Al and eric, I am giving Power Pro another chance. I am having a trouble finding my Crystal Fireline. Academy and Wally seem to have quit carrying it. Plus PP is about half the price.

I have been using it for years. I carry 3 sizes. It is the only braid I have used since I first tried it and found it to be much better than what I was using.

Actually, although I've learned the idiosyncrasies of Power Pro and like it, I am not saying there isn't anything better out there. I'm interested in hearing from anybody who used PP for a while and HAS found something they think is better. Power Pro is "good enough" that I'm not actively looking for something better, but I'd be willing to try another line that has the non-stretch qualities and the ability to absorb twist and not be affected much by it that Power Pro has.

Have you ever tried Fireline??? Not Crystal Fireline but "regular"??

Also check your Facebook. I couldn't PM you from here. Your box is full.

Eric,

I used P-line Floroclear for a while, but have sense switched to Yozuri Hybrid (soft). What do you use?

Dutch,

What are the 3 sizes?

I hope those questions are interpreted as adding to the conversation and not high-jacking it :have-a-nice-day:

I first started using spiderwire, then switched to power pro, now i'm using suffix 832 and for crankbaits or bottom contact ie anytime you want your line to sink, the 832 is simply amazing. even more round than power pro and like a steel cable. If I hang 17lb 832 in a tree, I can easily just reel myself over to it, but unlike some braids, the 832 seems to withstand the abrasion even better.

frankly I'd buy whichever I could find cheaper. Both are on sale at cabela's right now, and suffix makes the 832 in a white color which reminds me of crystal fusion fireline, but it's not fused.

Al turned me onto McCoy Mean Green, and I've been using it for a few years now. I like it so I haven't tried any other copoly. A few other guys whose opinions I trust love the P-Line copoly.

Tuf 4/15, tighter braid, slicker and cheaper. The company was started by ex PP people who thought they could do better.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I have used just about all the braids at one time or another over the years and Suffix 832 is hands down the best. Never had an air knot or any

other problem. I fish spinning only and this is where braid can really give you problems. I use the 10 lb for light applications and the 20 lb (about 6 lb mono diameter) for heavier stuff. Use it for 2 months or so and then just reverse it on the reel.

Really, if you use this, you'll use your other braid for tying up gargage sacks.

About the only bad thing I can say about it is the green color fades over time. My fish don't seem to mind and I use a fluro leader anyway
