Leaving For Table Rock In The Morning!

Like the title says i am heading out for my first trip to Table Rock. Just me and the wife we are Very excited! I have gotten her hooked on fishing and she is having a blast. I have one day of fishing booked with Mike Webb on Friday and the others days i am by myself.

Gonna make one more Bass Pro run tonight. To grab a few extra lures. Can anyone recommend a couple of great go to baits to stock up on right now for the Rock this time of year? Got plenty of basics.

Plan on picking up some Fish Doctors, couple of wiggle warts. Maybe some tubes. Some various jig head sizes, I read some posts that grubs are pretty good.

Any advice on a good go to bait you might have would be appreciated!

I will be going down Friday evening for a short weekend trip. Sounds like you have all the typical producing baits. Only thing I would add to that is a jig along with matching craw trailer. Shades of browns, greens with some accent colors like purple and orange always work. I prefer Netbait Paca Chunks for my trailers as I like the size, action and great selection of colors and they are like 2.29 a pack or something. They often come back with a missing claw or two on hooksets....lol... but I really like them. Good luck and if you are in the Dam area I will be in an older Navy/Red/Silver Nitro with a 150 Blackmax Merc on it with 3 clueless guys in it.

I have been struggling in the dam area and it seems most info here relates to the ends of the lake..do you have any recommendations for main lake/dam area in terms of depths, baits, based on your fishing? thanks

We are catching a lot of fish on shakey heads with watermellon red zoom finesse or trick worms . I just take a 1/4 oz ball jig head and rig the worm texas style. We have been catching largemouth, smallmouth, and spots on the same thing.

Nice! I'll load up on some of them. I am ready to get out there. Always wanted to catch a smallmouth too if I hook into to one it will be my first! Hope the bite stays strong!

I live in the dam area and fish it 3-5 days a week...there is a very strong wiggle wart bite in bright colors and a nice shakey head bite. Tons and tons of ways to catch bass right now.

I was just down with my brother and we fished Friday, Saturday and Sunday (1/2 day). We found the conditions to be the best we have ever seen at the rock. The lake is stained with 2 - 4 feet of clarity. We fished Aunts creek to Kimberling City. We did very well with each day having a limit by 10:00 am. We probably caught 2 fish in the morning for every fish we caught in the afternoon.

My advise would be to see which way the wind is blowing and fish the banks that had wind on them the previous day. We cought fish on anything that looked shad like: Grub, shad rap, spinner bait. We also cought fish on plastics. Most everyting we cought were males in less than 5 feet of water. We had several times where we cought 3-5 fish in a small period of time. about 1/3 of the fish we cought were keeper.

Are average bag each day was 12#'s for 5 fish.

A bit off topic, but Brett brought up the details of his boat and to be on the lookout for him. This might be a good opportunity to remind everyone of the Ozark Anglers round, orange decals on Lilleys Landings site. They're small enough to be tastefully placed anywhere on he boat; but visible from a distance so we can identify each other easily!

Yup he just sent me a message to grab some tubes, I think the last time I fished a tube I was 10 years old and it was for crappie. This will be new for me.
