Members jbeenemd Posted April 24, 2012 Members Posted April 24, 2012 Had to replace a dead battery and also my battery charger as one side of the dual charger died. Tried to put the strap back on and must be missing something simple but can't figure how to get the dang think to lock back down. Anyone have a picture or video on how to run the webbing through one of these. This is a strap that has a lever to lock it down after you get the webbing tight. If it matters it is on a Triton Fish and Ski. Jackie
fishinwrench Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Take the end of the strap thru both rings (actually squares) then back through the first one. If it slips you have the strap upside down.....flip it over and repeat. I have seen cheap ones where the serrated buckle was put on backwards.....that'll drive you crazy.

So that's how you got that way!
fishinwrench Posted April 24, 2012 Posted April 24, 2012 Well kinda. First I sat up nights racking my brain.... "What in the world could a guide have done to be exiled" ? It really perplexed me. And just before I realized that whatever it was had no bearing on my own future whatsoever I was summoned to swap out a battery box, and that took me over the edge. I got coloring books for christmas for several years after that, and I have just recently become capable of talking about it.

Borrowed it from Pat Mcmanus (maybe the the best outdoor humor writer I ever read) book titled "How I Got This Way"
