Hunter91 Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Thursday I was prefishing for this past Sunday's AIA tourney. I caught my personal best largemouth on Table Rock that was right at 7lbs. Caught it on a jig in about 12 fow up the White River arm. It always seems that I catch the larger fish while prefishing and then struggle in tourneys for large fish. Personally I have caught many more fish this spring over 4lbs on the Rock than I have in the past 15 yrs I have fished it. I would like to think its because I have evolved somehow into a better fisherman but in reality it must be that we have some strong year classes of good fish coming on. Either way it has been a real fun spring!! Thanks for letting me brag a little.
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Congrats on your PB!! I don't fish tournaments, but understand the problem of catching the bigguns beforehand. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
rps Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Nice fish Hunter91! Size has improved on TR in the last five years for me as well, but with me it is tied to learning more about the lake.
powerdive Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I believe the high water cycles of the past few years created tremendous year classes and accelerated growth throughout the system. Nice going, H91!
