We made the rash decision to drive down to Destin next weekend, any tips for a first timer?

We're staying across the hwy from Fuller Lake so my plan was to take the car in the mornings and explore TopSail Hill State Park on foot. We're only gonna be there for three days so I have to make the time count.

I'll strictly be fly fishing and am bringing an 8' single hander and my 12' spey rod. Since I don't know a lot of what to expect I'm bringing a lot of standard saltwater patterns (crazy charlies, gotchas, crabs, and clousers) as well as my standard bass flies for any ponds/lakes I happen upon.

Any advice is much appreciated.
