Craigslist Ad For Wooden Canoes And Kayaks/builder?

Recommended Posts

This gentleman has posted on Craigslist that he builds wooden canoes and kayaks. His name is Kenneth Canady. I've emailed him back and forth. He quoted a price and had a model in mind. He doesn't seem disorganized. I ran him through Case.net and besides a failure to maintain insurance ticket that was dismissed, all I saw were a few credit card judgments. Does anyone in the Branson area know him personally and could maybe speak to his character/abilities? I understand that posting anything about him publicly may leave one open to liability so feel free to PM on this one.

This seems like it might be a nice alternative to the Guide 119 or Pack, and I'm just trying to gather more info before I would committ to something like this.

LOL, looks like your recon has been intercepted. :-) I seen the same add a couple of days ago on St Louis Craigslist. I like the looks of his items.

I am surprised he doesn't have more pics. of his builds.....I emailed him a couple yrs. ago before I started building these boats with my apprehension of wood boats on the rocky streams....Now with 10 boats under my belt....that fear is LONG GONE..

I hope he does well down that way ...support local boat builders... :have-a-nice-day:

Yes, it was intercepted. But that's okay. Of course, now that I bought the Pack, I'm no longer in the market. I wish him well though.
