Motor Thieves!

While I was away at work someone decided to steal my 2005 5 horse merc. motor. It happened on sunday may 6th at around 2 in the morning. They also tryed to get my neghbers 25 horse, but only tore up his cover. Any info or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'd watch ebay and CL for awhile.....just in case they are THAT stupid.

I had a 15hp stolen from a motel parking lot and found it laying in a nearby ditch covered with tree limbs and trash. I guess they figured they'd come back for it after the smoke cleared. So you might take a walk along any nearby hiding places.

I got my outboard back but the cops didn't feel like it was worth their time to stake out the gulley and see who came back for it.

Man that sucks. That kind of thing just makes you absolutely sick. It's just a way of life most of us can't imagine. Craigslist and the local paper are certainly good sources as well as the local pawn shops.

But as it happens I know a guy who knows a guy who has a 2005 mercury 5 horse electric motor for sale...no title though. Word is he hasn't had it long and not sure how it runs, but he's a very motivated seller
