I just got this from my brother and I think it will help me decide which end of the lake to start a fishing trip........

Here is a rule to use at BEAVER for the wind... THERE IS NO RULE... If it is suppose to be out of the North and you are in Rocky Branch it will be out of the East.. If you are in Prairie Creek it will be out of the South and if you are in Monte Ne it will blow in circles... Beaver is a fun lake and only after time will you know which way the wind will actually blow for where you are on it.

Neet, good tool for deciding between lakes and direction of travel. I like seeing how the wind changes near the mountains.

No kidding. I'm always amazed at how no matter which direction the wind is coming from, it blows up or down every cove on the lake.

Jeb as an avid Duck hunter playing the wind is a must.. Beaver drove me nuts until I found numerous areas. Now when I go out I look at what it is doing and go to where I can hunt based on that. Great waterfowling Lake but just like her fish she doesnt give things up easy or without you putting in time to learn her... Oh well time to go do what i said I wouldnt.. Heading out to Monte Ne to look for walleye untill it gets to bad to be fun.

3 Walters, 13'' 16'' and 28'',,,,, 20 assorted bass,,,,,, 12 whites,,,,,,,, 2 hybrids and then for good measure somehow blew out my back getting in the truck great day of fishing but now its time to see the doc tomorrow when they open up I can barely walk right now a rock slipped when i was getting in the truck and OUCH.

Besides the back, sounds like a good day. Did you stay mid-lake? Pulled a muscle a while back just picking up the newspaper and could not even roll over in bed for a week, so I know how it feels.

Loosing weight is always the best way to prevent that, good luck I am stuck at 180 trying to get back to 160 for my heart and back but the older you are the harder it gets.

I was working the flats at Horseshoe bend and in front of Monte Ne in 17 to 20 FOW for the walleye, the rest were caught in Monte Ne in 12 to 15 FOW... Weight is not the problem. I blew my back out 23 years ago, had the choice of surgery to repair the three bulged disc or keep my weight down, i hate knives. I have to laugh I quit smoking last week cold turkey to get myself in better physical shape. Then this happens lol
