justin scobee Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Ok I would like to start out saying THIS ONE WAS FOR GRANDPA... My grandpa past away Monday night. My grandpa LOVED to fish. He fished every lake in MO many times. We laid grandpa to rest saterday. I told my aunts that I was gong fish. and they said grandpa will be with u. and that he was. Ok this is my night. we started fishing about 4pm Had 3 short bass and 1 keeper white.. When night hit I planed to fish the pillers. but no there was way tooo many boats on them. about 30 mins be for dark every thing just started to go down hill. first my running lights would not work. then my fish finder. then my Bilge Pump would not work. Finely I got it all worked out. So I went to are spot. put in the lights. They got hot for my wife. one after another my wife was getting them But not me. Even my boy was. He first crappy ever was a 13iner. so I started to think what was I doing wrong and I fig it out every one had a 1/8 sinker and I had a 1/16. so I out 1/8 on and man did I fix it. I would not even finsh letting all my line out and they would have it some times. Over all we had 16 crappie keepers and 10 short and we had 3 whites. I got the biggest at 13 1/2in but most was 11 threw 12 1/2in. We was in 35fow. We left at 2am and they was still hot but my wife was ready to go. It was are fist limit. We had a great time Thanks justin
Nwtf gobbler Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 Sorry to hear about your grandpa Justin. On the plus side, congrats on a nice night on the water. I'm definitely jealous now. Where did you put in at?
justin scobee Posted May 27, 2012 Author Posted May 27, 2012 Cedar Ridge. We was up above the brige about 150yards.

straw hat Posted May 27, 2012 Posted May 27, 2012 My sympathy on the loss of your grandfather. The loss of that kind of sportsman is a loss for us all. It sounds like you are passing on his traditions to your sonn and for that you should be proud. I tip my hat to you.

Members charliehorsejigs Posted May 31, 2012 Members Posted May 31, 2012 Justin, my condolences on the loss of your Grandfather. It is never easy to let them go but he is a much better place than this messed up world we live in today. Just remember he will always will be with you. I never got to fish with my grandfather, he wasn't able to fish anymore by the time i was big enough to go. But my dad and I fished a lot together a lot while i was growing up. I lost him 2 years ago this July. Still hurts to go without him, but i feel him with me when i go. Just remember what he taught you and do him proud. Good Luck on your next trip.
