Duck Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Because of the morning weather we got a late start. Put in at Sweetwater and thought we could put Craig's grandson on some fish. Wrong, first cast at 8:45 cloudy and very little breeze. Tried our flats with 2 shorts on spinnerbaits. Ran to some points and tried a bit of everything, went to some deep docks past Shell Knob and caught 3 more shorts on drop shot. 1 short on PBJ jig. Just fishin not catchin, still a great day to be on the Rock. Try again Wed. Good Luck, Duck.
dtrs5kprs Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Clouds without wind is usually a tough combo. Seems like it really messes the fish up, deep and shallow. Would rather have a calm sunny day, or wind with or without clouds.
Quillback Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Don't you just love it when you take someone fishing and the fish decide to take the day off.

I will take high blue bird with some wind any day of the week over those conditions.
dtrs5kprs Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 Duck...have you been pestering them any since this ill fated trip?
