Members Bassman212 Posted June 9, 2012 Members Posted June 9, 2012 We fished the lower James a few weeks ago and caught 6 or so largemouth and about 10 smallmouth. They were all released to be caught another day. I lost a 2.5lb smallmouth due to frayed line, so I was pretty bummed. Until I set the hook on this beauty. Caught him out of a deep hole behind a submerged boulder. I thought it was a largemouth, but when I realized it was a smallmouth, I couldn't have been more excited. Close to home, great time fishing, and I threw them all back. Good luck! Lookie there...I've got a bite...
RSBreth Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Letting them go makes me happy for both you and the fish! Nice Smallie.
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Nice and good job on protecting tomorrow. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Ham Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Nice smallie. I wouldn't have named where I caught it, but that's just me. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Jack Jones Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Not wanting info on where exactly, but lower James being....below Blunks? Below Kerr, etc....? "Thanks to Mother Mercy, Thanks to Brother Wine, Another night is over and we're walking down the line" - David Mallett
