For you guys wanting to fish bait on taney. Does anyone remember the white river bait rig? Take a medium size crawdad tail and strip it down to the white meat. Using a # 6 long shank, thread on a large worm in a figure 8 and push it to the eye of the hook, thread the crawdad tail lengthwise, and then add another figure 8 worm to the back. A go to rig that the white river guides used several years back for large browns.

I agree with rps, it sounds like a good place for a circle hook. Personally I would rather spend my time fishing for bigger fish than sculpins or any fish then cleaning them.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
