laker67 Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 For you guys wanting to fish bait on taney. Does anyone remember the white river bait rig? Take a medium size crawdad tail and strip it down to the white meat. Using a # 6 long shank, thread on a large worm in a figure 8 and push it to the eye of the hook, thread the crawdad tail lengthwise, and then add another figure 8 worm to the back. A go to rig that the white river guides used several years back for large browns.
fshndoug Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Rick,You are so old.Didn't you tell Columbus to use his sail while trolling the Atlantic to America.

Wayne SW/MO Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 I agree with rps, it sounds like a good place for a circle hook. Personally I would rather spend my time fishing for bigger fish than sculpins or any fish then cleaning them. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
