So, you were illegally on the lake? Even if for only "10 minutes" you were illegal? And what did the young teen learn from this?

Ok this might sound stupid but,,,,,,...... If you know these lakes are so heavily regulated you are almost guaranteed a citation why even go to them? And if you Knew you were in violation and did it anyway why are you complaining about breaking the law you knew you were breaking?

Am i missing something here? More to the story?

Did I mention this is my first year with a paddle craft on any of these lakes....

This post is more a warning to others....I guess I should ask is their is any other lakes in Mo. with such regs.

A friend of mine who has put his bass boat on these lakes for years didn't even know you needed a sticker on a canoe...

So he is lucky with the Pirogue ()we just built....

All watercraft on the Jackson County lakes need a sticker. It is the law. Hopefully it keeps some of the traffic down. I think the gripe with the tickets is you got caught. The Rangers don't enforce a lot of things, but they do sticker check all the time. You can't legally swim at Jacomo unless it is from a boat.
