Stump bumper Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Glad to see they made it out alive and there aren't anymore lost bodies in Beaver. My wife hates to troll because she is afraid of discovering one....
kwall Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 I fished, pardon me , tried to go fishing on Beaver a few weeks back -- what a mad house!! boats and people running up an down the main lake in the middle of the day , kids being jerked around like rag dolls on pontoon boats jumping wakes produced by all the traffic by those loud ,and I mean LOUD long torpedo style boats with all that blaring music driven by people that don't even realize or care about other boaters -- dangerous stuff out there going on -- that was my experience with a nice relaxing day on Beaver , sad - I left it to them
jeb Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 Thanks for the link F&F. Hard to believe they were all treated and released! But good to know. KWall, I hear you. I try to stay off of Beaver on the weekends, especially anytime after 10am or so. And if you think Beaver is bad, try Table Rock on a summer weekend! John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
kwall Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Jeb, haven't been to TR in years , can imagine how crazy it has gotten-- I'm really scared about seeing someone getting run over ,people just aren't thinking out there, to buizzy having fun I guess ,and alot only barely know how to back their trailer in the water let alone drive a boat
Feathers and Fins Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 LOL. Boat backing try loading too... sorry I just had to laugh at that I know what you mean... I use a Palm Beach line on my boat as I launch alone alot . I can have it launched tied park the truck and be gone in under 5 minutes. Loading is eaven easier if people will just learn you dont need to put the entire trailor under water! Just enough to get the boat on it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Quillback Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Jeb and I watched 6 people trying to unload a pontoon on Table Rock a few weeks ago, had their truck practically in past the rear wheels, 4 people pushing, took them about 15 minutes to get it launched.

Dam I am going nuts not being able to get out and watch them... Maybe i can con my wife into going to 12 bridge ramp for a few hours saturday so i can watch the crashes and idiots. jeb Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 That was pretty funny. But I think that has to do with the shallow ramp. Laura and I watched a guy launch a bass boat there last Sunday. Front bumper of the truck was past the waterline 5' or so. He had his YOUNG son wade in and drive the truck up to dry land after launching it, so he wouldn't have to get his pants wet. Kid couldn't have been more than 10 or 12. He was shouting directions on what to do. We did not even bother bringing the boat up there for the weekend. Just too crazy. But we had a campspot on the lake and saw many violations from our picnic table. Nutty time of the year to be on the water. I heard at HLS today that there was a lot of enforcement out last weekend on Beaver. I guess they wrote 100+ tickets, which is good! Apparently a lot of them were PWC's after dusk with no lights as well as fishermen turning their lights off when fishing at night. The latter is a $285 ticket, they said. Y'all be careful out there!
