mic Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I've been trying to find large unweighted slip bobbers that can handle some weight with no luck. Due to the lay out of my closest pond, I need to really cast some distance to get to good water for cats. I can only get there with half to one ounce weights. I like turning wood so I thinking about making my own for fun. 1. Does anyone know where I can get some pre-made ones? I have found some weighted, but that's not what I want. 2. If I make my own, does anyone have any ideas for the internal slot slash hollow pole the line goes through. I would need something in brass or plastic. I would like it to be at least 12 inches long. My plan is to cut some blanks. Cut them in half. Rought out a slot for the hollow pole. Glue it all together, turn it, and paint. I haven't strolled through the local hardware store for ideas yet, but if you have a thought please let me know.

straw hat Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 The bobber that oneshot just decribed is on youtube. There are several videos on making bobbers with pool noodles and other ways. You might check it out. I have used some of the pool noodle bobbers and they do well.
