jdmidwest Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Crayfish from MO clear waters are the best I think, better than the mud bugs down south. I like the way the article I read on another news site mentioned most of the cases in the US were from MO and alcohol was involved, like there is some link between alcohol and lung flukes. Bird Watcher Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Serious question here, do people actually eat crawfish up here? I've don't think I've ever actually met anyone who fished for and ate crawfish in Missouri... I've went and caught them and ate them probably a dozen times. I like to go at night with a waterproof flashlight and just grab them. you can pick up a lot in a few hours out of a clear spring creek. I know a few people who go catch them often to eat. We always boil them of course and we like to let them sit in a kiddie pool for a few days with well water running over them to clean them out.
