First Norfork River - White River Fishing Trip Need Help !

In the next few weeks I am planning a trip to the Norfork - Cotter area for a day of trout fishing [spin or fly] and a day of golfing. What is the best mid priced lodge to stay at on the river so I can fish off the bank or dock in the evening ? Also do you guys have any guide with a boat you would recommend for a day on the river, I would like to keep the guide around $200.00 for a days fishing if possible, I figured with the tip it would be around $ 250.00 ? Thanks in advance.

I think you might be shooting a little low on the guide cost, but I don't know that for sure. Nothing wrong with Riley Station, but look at Rim Shoals run by Gary Flippin on the White River and River Run Lodge (I think) on the Norfork as well.

There are a lot of good guides and good places to stay. Most resorts will have websites these days.

Rim Shoals Resort is ideally located for bank/wade fishing. 25+ years ago a group of us stayed there because we wanted to fish that area. The place was a dump, but the fishing was fantastic. Since then, the place has changed dramatically and I have heard only good things about it.

About the guide - when you call to book your stay, ask Gary Flippin. Explain that you have a limited budget and can't afford that much but ask him for a reccomendation for an up and comer that does not charge as much.

What about Norfork River resort ? It looks like a big place but they have a dock to fish from in the evenings.
