Looks like the MDC must be stocking them to control the otters.. http://rhtrav.com/wordpress/mountain-lion-sinkin-creek/#more-10582 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. id10t Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I had a Mountain Lion escape from my back yard. He likes to swim. Anyone seen him?
Wayne SW/MO Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I think it's hard to call it a bobcat from the picture. It looks like a lion to me, but only because the ears and the body length appears more lion. It's hard to know if it doesn't have a long tail, or if you can't see the long tail? Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

This is my thoughts on that picture. The head definitely looks like a lion, and the body appears to be much larger than a bobcat. Andy
Chief Grey Bear Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 Must be me as I can plainly see the white tipped tail of this bobcat. And so did everybody else when this was posted days ago. drew03cmc Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 At your age, you are lucky to see at all. It may be a bobcat, but it is a huge bobcat. Andy
ness Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I agree the body length and head shape look like a lion, but the tail looks like a bobcat. I can say, conclusively, that we just don't freakin' know. John
