Members olebnb Posted October 16, 2006 Members Posted October 16, 2006 Hello Everyone, First let me say what a wonderful site this is.... Thanks everyone. I have followed the posts on this site for about a year now and finally decided to become a member. I am from Mississippi and come up about twice every year to fish Table Rock and Taneycomo. Coming up again around Nov. 5th. Hopefully the bass fishing will still be hot.

MoCarp Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I'm from Meridian Mississippi, but hope to move up there one day! I grew up fishing flint creek, it still worth wetting a line? also did that guy who is the Mississippi state chair of the BAA, a national bow fishing organization, they held a tourney on lake Mary then he was busted when he illegally dumped a dumpster full of fish under the HWY 61 bridge even after he charged the tourney participants money for fish disposal did he ever get fined? MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Members olebnb Posted October 16, 2006 Author Members Posted October 16, 2006 An article was published about this incident on Oct. 4th on the Miss. State Dept. of Wildlife website. I don't want to mention any names, but his initials were, Matthew Martin... What an idiot... He was paid $175 to dispose of the fish and it cost him $500 in fines and $250 for dirt work to bury the fish.... We sure grow some sharp ones down here!!! Never fished Flint creek, but if I hear a report, I'll let you know....
MoCarp Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 we caught huge crappie "white perch" under lights in October one of my fondest memories is fishing that lake, it had some huge Bullheads in it. ever fish Paul B Johnson state park? MONKEYS? what monkeys?
Members olebnb Posted October 17, 2006 Author Members Posted October 17, 2006 Never fished Paul B Johnson either. I mainly fish in Alabama on the Tennessee-Tombigbee waterway and the Alabama river. I visit Ross Barnett and Pickwick a good bit also.
