Table Rock Lake is more than 50 years old. When the lake was created, much of the Ozark forest was flooded, and the trees and brush provided cover for the lake’s fish populations. But after 50 years, most of that fish habitat has disappeared.

Glad to see that they are being pro-active. The last two sentences on page 2 are great.

Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me)

I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)

I think this topic has been posted before, with alot of controversy. Either way, I was down over July 4th and again last week. I was noticing some fairly large trees on the banks with huge root balls. When I asked my pops about them, he swears its the same trees being dumped into the lake. He said they dumped tons of rock and tree just up stream from their dock, and once the huge flood came all of them washed up on shore. It kinda make sense to me. Most 'natural' timber on the shore doesn't contain the huge root-ball. Its just snapped off trunks/branches... if most off this debris ends up 10 ft on shore after a year or two of flooding, its never going to provide any habitat.
