BilletHead Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 You blend in very well scott. Did the calls involve shaking a plastic bag? That is the neatest trick you shared last year. Feathers and Fins Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 LOL, Nope this was even easier, the lake had a great hatch we found out yesterday shoot the biggest bird ( apparently a parent or flock leader ) First and the rest will come right back there trying to figure out what to do! Gives you an easy reload and shoot again. I had to laugh when we were in Prairie creek finishing off the limit we had people cheering and yelling shoot again at them. People really hate the resident geese. Dont think I have ever had a cheering sesction for hunting. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

Members derekburleson Posted September 3, 2012 Members Posted September 3, 2012 Re-read the post. I guess that wasn't you! Ha! But someone was blasting away that early.
Feathers and Fins Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 Na I know who it was though im betting Derek, they managed 12 for 3 people. How did you do? I marked a lot of fish in the area yesterday but was occupied. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members derekburleson Posted September 4, 2012 Members Posted September 4, 2012 Na I know who it was though im betting Derek, they managed 12 for 3 people. How did you do? I marked a lot of fish in the area yesterday but was occupied. Didn't find any schoolers, so we hit a few areas and ended with 2 smallmouth and some decent spots. It got hot quick and we were back at the ramp by maybe 11.
Members Bass Ivy Posted September 4, 2012 Members Posted September 4, 2012 Nice bunch of birds. Looks like it would be fun.
Feathers and Fins Posted September 5, 2012 Author Posted September 5, 2012 Thanks Bass, If your looking for stripers try from point 4 to Rocky Branch, they are there but scattered because of the boat traffic on them. Some nice marks though https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
