Members Bass Ivy Posted September 5, 2012 Members Posted September 5, 2012 Thanks! I was just thinking about trying that area. If I can get on them I think I can catch a few. Ive been a couple times around pc and 12 bridge but I really wasnt looking for stripers. Had the kids and the wife out there once caught some perch with the kids. I kept marking some fish on the east end of the bridge on the inside of the last pillar. I got right up over them and use a white war eagle spoon and caught a few crappie and whites. I was just curious what i was seeing on the finder more than anything. Then my son and I went one evening and stayed out there until about 11.00 pm. We got into some crappie in Coose mostly short fish though.
wc1063 Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I can now confirm that roast goose is indeed great tasting. For people that never try it, you are missing out!!

wc1063 Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 It's either I need to pick up waterfowl hunting or beg Scott to hunt more geese, I think I'm addicted.
Feathers and Fins Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 Well no need to beg me to hunt more that goes without saying. But ya you need to pick up hunting you will have a BLAST. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Guest Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 F&F, you make it sound too easy. Im gonna try the geese, if its that easy. LOL No camo boat either? Do you just walk up to the flock and open fire? That would be awesome
Feathers and Fins Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 Honestly, Ive spent a lot of time learning where each flock is and how the behave as well as where they like to feed, roost and flight path. Take Beaver Shores flock opening weekend you can spot n stock them but now they leave at first light and go to the fields in Lowell for the day returning at night. Indian Creek flock you might catch them once in a great while where you can shoot them but the odds are they will be in Lost Bridge North ramp and never come out. Other flocks each act diffrent and knowing them is the key to getting them. You can run and gun the lake and you might get lucky but knowing each flock will take the luck out of it. As to the boat. The one in my pictures is my boat and never been camo'ed, I might throw netting on it or around it durring regular duck but normally just park it down the shore from where im hunting. No diffrent than any other hunting, put in the time scouting and you will normally be rewarded, dont and you may get lucky every so often. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
