ness Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Kinda glad the debacle happened. We could have clunked along all season with marginal refs before a huge blown call changed the outcome of a game. It really highlights the complexity of the task, and the need for top-quality refs, and that will help move things along at the bargaining table. Sorry Cheeseheads -- I wouldn't wish that on any team .... well, other than the Raiders or Broncos. John
Jack Jones Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I'd wish it on the Cowboys......with a vengeance! "Thanks to Mother Mercy, Thanks to Brother Wine, Another night is over and we're walking down the line" - David Mallett
Wayne SW/MO Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 All the analysis I've read points the finger at the greedy owners. From what I've seen, the demands aren't unreasonable. It's been funny to watch all the anti-union Republicans clamor for the unionized refs to return. Isn't this just the free market at work? I didn't think of that, it was Bush's fault. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
jdmidwest Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 I didn't think of that, it was Bush's fault. But, Obama is going to put an end to it. If he can fit it in between campaign stops. Brian K. Shaffer Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 It's over. Thursday night and from then on we get the old refs back. Hope they are better.
