Which Body Of Water For An October Weekend?

With a couple people dropping out of our trip that was supposed to take us to Kentucky Lake in October, it leaves most likely two of us to take a trip to where ever now. Which of these bodies of water would be best for some good bass fishing the 3rd weekend of October?

Lake of the Ozarks

Bull Shoals

Table Rock

Truman

Kentucky/Barkley

I guess it depends on which type of bass you are after. If trophy smallmouth, I would go to Kentucky lake

You won't have to worry about any turnover issues on Kentucky either. I don't think you could go wrong with any of those options.

Fred McClintock a smallmouth guide once told me the best time to catch a trophy smallie on Dale Hollow was during the turnover in fall, fishing with jerkbaits.....believe it or not

Do the lakes around here turn over because they are deeper and have more of a thermocline?

Where ever in October for Bass only one lake I would think of. Lake Tohopekaliga you didnt say it had to be local and its an 18 hour drive but it is awesome in October. More Local I would go with the ROCK and a longer drive Perris in southern Cali, they start stocking trout and those moster LMBs target them and are easy to catch.
