Spotting them, and fishing for that one fish is the way to go for me. I love the process of sight fishing...

Great fish!!! I would be interested in that sage z-axis I can add it to my collection of Sage rods. I also be interested in knowing what line you are casting and roll casting on it. In my own opinion and casting a lot of rods I feel there is no better casting rod out there in the fast action category.

Very nice fish.......but having built and fished with darn near every hi-end rod made, starting with the wonderful Scott G series in the 80's the Z-Axis rods are truly something special. Tell ya what, I have a new in case St.Croix 10ft 6wt Ultra 2 4pc. rod that will roll cast a mile, it's fresh from the factory I'll take that shoddy Z-Axis off your hands. BTW, line weight and taper design have much more to do with roll casting than rod design. Try putting on a spey line and see how far you can roll cast.........

Guy’s

Sorry, I haven’t logged on O.A. in a while. I sold this rod.

Micheal, The line was a SA Mastery Series GPX.

I’m sure the roll casting was no fault of the rod. Any rod I pick up exceeds my casting skills.

Gwh, the line on the Bank Robber was a SA mastery textured “GPX taper”. This line really seemed to do the job for a novice like me.

This is something that the folks at St Croix recently put up on their site. This may help explain what I liked about the Bank Robber.
