joeD Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 This 18.5 incher was caught this past Friday, the 12th. Fishing was fair. Water was beautiful, as was the scenery. It was in the SMB Management Area. Of note. No spotted bass were caught. This has been true all year and on different sections. Water condition has been stellar. Of note. I realize that being overweight and smoking are not recipes for good health, or good pictures.
Greasy B Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 That's a fine fish and a darn good fish picture too. It's great to hear that no spots were caught. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
cnr Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I had the pleasure of being on the water with joeD that day. Here are a few other photos (taken on my iPhone 4). Nice Fall colors! The underrated Drum. The thing put up a great fight and was a really clean fish!

gramps50 Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 The underrated Drum. The thing put up a great fight and was a really clean fish! I have always enjoyed catching Drum, would normally catch them when fishing off the bottom with worms. What did you catch that one on? Nice fish BTW & some really nice pictures
cnr Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 The Drum was caught on a white super fluke. joeD doesn't hardly fish with anything else, I'm kinda guilty of that too. Those darn Flukes just plain work for Smallies.
