Members 93notch Posted November 1, 2012 Members Posted November 1, 2012 Hey everyone me and my dad were down for a little fishing at the end of September and came across an older gentleman in the big hole above the dam, and he was using a multi-colored fly line that he said is scotish made and he claims it is the best and only line that he will ever use. I know this is a long shot but does anyone know what i am talking about? I want to get some of this for my day. Thanks
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 You want a good line for the parks go DT. No one uses them that much any more, but they roll cast great and will lay down soft. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
mic Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Second that, unless you are completely away from the crowds, roll casting is a must.
Members Pflugradt Posted November 4, 2012 Members Posted November 4, 2012 You want a real roll cast line go to a triangle taper. Best roll casting line out there. Check out my warm water flytying and flyfishing how to.

That's true, but they aren't cheap, I have 3 and I think a DT is equal in roll casting for the parks. You also can't turn a TT around. The TT does have a distance advantage.
