Members stlskyline Posted November 4, 2012 Members Posted November 4, 2012 I ll be somewhere on Sunday in St. Louis with my better half who just finished up her 4 week fly tying class at Hargroves. I don't even tie my own. I now have more flies than ever and need to get a few more boxes:) !in the last year she's been going with me. She enjoys it and even continued fishes after getting dry after taking a full dip in waders at baptist a few months ago.
Haris122 Posted November 4, 2012 Author Posted November 4, 2012 I'm just glad to have something potentially biting at stuff I can actively cast and reel in, at Suson park. I don't see any bass in there, and the catfish, they tend to be more sit and wait type deal even in the summer.
mhall02 Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Hopefully they will stock Busch this coming week.
Members T Hood Posted November 4, 2012 Members Posted November 4, 2012 I was disappointed to hear that only Suson, Boathouse, Jefferson, and O'Fallon were stocked. I like the clear water and Busch.
Members stlskyline Posted November 5, 2012 Members Posted November 5, 2012 Caught a few at Jefferson. Stripping a wooly. It looked like they were going after the large schools of minnows. Brought in one LMB. it was crowded but was a nice day to be out.
Gavin Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Took the girls out for a half hour or so..no action so they lost interest. Had to settle for a walk in the park and fish & chips at the boat house.
stlfisher Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I think I saw you yesterday (if it was yesterday at Forest Park)(reconized you from pics on the forum) I wasn't sure and didn't want to be creepy. It was a madhouse up there, but good times nonetheless. Good group of regulars up there shooting the bull.
Gavin Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Wife and I were up at FP. round 1;30-2pm......two little girls...one in pink other purple...saw a couple folks I didnt get to say hi to...Dwayne, John E...ran into blinky Ted at the boathouse. Say hi...no big deal. Lots of folks out. Kids had a blast running around the frost on the ice rink.
stlfisher Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I am pretty sure it was your girls chasing after the ducks....I was right below them fishing by the cattails. Next time I say hello. Perfect day to be out and about enjoying the park.
