I'm thinking about going out walleye fishing for my first time sometime soon. First I need to know where to fish, when to fish, and what to use. Any info would be great!

Btw I'm looking for fishing spots in or near st Louis

Wouldnt mind trying for some. The Meramec is VERY low and clear right now.

That's the truth. Drove across the river on Hwy 30 in Fenton tonight and it looks like someone could easily wade across it there. Lowest I've ever seen it in my 39 years.

Yeah, not sure how much of a "honey hole" it really is, Wally. Been back 3 times since, lost a few baits, only caught one 2lb gizzard shad. I really need to get out in the kayak and cover some more water- waders aren't cutting it. I've just got a lot of paperwork eating my free time right now, probably be done around New Years...
