Quillback Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Saw the 2nd half of the A&M vs Tide game. Great game, I thought the Tide would pull it out, but a goal line interception and an offsides call on an A&M punt did them in. Way is open for a K-State/Oregon title game, but Oregon has 2 tough games left against Stanford and Oregon State, and K State has Baylor and Texas on the schedule.
ozark trout fisher Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I'm hoping for a Kansas State-Notre Dame title game...always been an Irish fan, and how can you not like Bill Snyder? But I know that Oregon would have to lose for that to happen. Plenty of time for that though with Stanford, Oregon State, and probably UCLA in the Pac 12 title game.
Quillback Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 Yeah I'd be fine with the Irish in the title game. And Oregon does have a tough row to hoe, if I was a betting man, I'd bet they will lose one of their remaining games.
stlfisher Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I could see Oregon, Kansas State, and Notre Dame all lose down the stretch. So you have the winner of Alabama/Georgia as one spot and who else in the 2nd spot? Could be quite the mess for the 2nd spot.
Quillback Posted November 13, 2012 Author Posted November 13, 2012 If KState, Oregon and ND all lose a game between now and the end of the year, it will create a BCS mess. Is it next year they begin the 4 team playoff? I could see a case where we're going to wish the playoff started this year.
Ham Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I suspect a lot of back room shananagans to try to get Alabama to the Title game. I wish LSU could have sealed the deal, but hats off to Texas A&M. That genius Saban couldn't get it done despite LSU having given them a blueprint on how to defend against Texas A&M. Quillback Posted November 13, 2012 Author Posted November 13, 2012 Well if there's going to be back room shananigans, it wouldn't surprise me if the boys in the back room advance the cause of Notre Dame. Notre Dame vs Alabama? It would not surprise me. From a ratings standpoint I would think the network executives would rather see AL vs ND rather than K State vs Oregon. I think from a football standpoint, K State vs Oregon would be a better game than AL vs ND.
Ham Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Former SEC bigwigs set up the BCS so I could see some strings being pulled to get a SEC team in the mix. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
stlfisher Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 If the standings are close my money will be on KState to get the shaft. They have to win out and so does Notre Dame(and a loss by KState or Oregon)...no queston about it. Oregon is probably in the best spot. Notre Dame probably in the worst spot. If every team has 1 loss it is probably Oregon and Alabama/Georgia winner(assuming both teams meet in SEC championship with only one loss each). If all three teams remain undefeated...It should be KState and Oregon, but ya never now what funny business might happen to get Notre Dame into the championship game.
