Bushwacker lake in SW Missouri on the Barton county line is some of the best redear fishing in the Midwest. Lots of fish and good size too. Also, great pan-fishing for 'gills and black crappie (limit of 30). Light pressure on the lake with lots of timber and a good boat ramp.

It amazes me the number and size of G'eye's in TR.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

There's a country club golf course about 4 blocks from my house and I've been told the ponds on it hold some huge redears (along with some rather nice largemouth bass). One of these days I'm gonna conjur up enough nerve for a little undercover night-time flyfishin'. :ninja: Dan-o

RELEASE THOSE BROWNIES!!

Just watch out for blind golfers... they play at night... and their aim ain't that good...

Funny that you guys brought this topic up, did some Redear and Bluegill fishing this Saturday on one of the Bella Vista lakes. Here's a Redear and a Bluegill.

Nice ones. When you need someone to go with you let me know. I have heard the Bella Vista lakes have some good gills and crackers. I really need to come down and check them out.

I would rather be fishin'.

OK, Gone, I'll keep you in mind. Not that I'm an expert on these lakes, this is my first year here. Once these fish have moved off the beds they'll probably be tougher to find.
