Members Zeke Kuehn Posted December 2, 2012 Members Posted December 2, 2012 Floated from Kelly to Blair yesterday (DEC. 1st). It was my first time floating that stretch. Had a blast even though there was some rough wind at times! Managed to land several with eggs, hares ear, and rubber legs. With the fish pictured being the Icing on the cake! Water is low but easily floated for jons and canoes, you would have to be careful in a drift boat. "Fish Long and prosper"- John Geirach
Members living_waters Posted December 3, 2012 Members Posted December 3, 2012 SWEEEET, Im trying to clear my schedule right now so possibly I can make an end of the week trip out there. And a positive report is awesome to hear. I am a conspiracy theorist and am beginning to think the locals are falsely reporting bad fishing conditions to throw us off "To him, all good things, trout as well as eternal salvation, come by grace and grace comes by art and art does not come easy." -Norman Maclean
Members Zeke Kuehn Posted December 3, 2012 Author Members Posted December 3, 2012 I would wade the riffles and make a few good drifts in the seams and behind structure. Then toss streamers in the pools. Good Luck! "Fish Long and prosper"- John Geirach
Gavin Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Nice bow...at the falls no less. Interesting looking boat...what is it?
Ham Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 I've been very bullish on NFOW. I'll still fish the White below BSL most often because of ease and less expense, but I'll plan on more trips on NFOW for 2013 than I made in 2012. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Members Zeke Kuehn Posted December 4, 2012 Author Members Posted December 4, 2012 Thanks Gavin. The Boat is a 12ft Jon with oars. It is a great boat for this river it runs extremely shallow . However, longer would be better. I usually fish in it alone when fly fishing. "Fish Long and prosper"- John Geirach
