Nighthawk Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 is there an address i can put in my gps to get me from Springfield, Mo to beaver dam? also what color midges work best on Beaver tailwater?
Ham Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Beaver Dam flyshop ought to work. Stop at the fly shop and buy $20 worth of the midges they suggest. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Dutch Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 This is supposed to be it. Map Datum WGS 84 (DM) 36° 25.722' N 93° 51.443' W (DMS) 36° 25' 43.344'' N 93° 51' 26.573'' W It keeps putting ° in for the degree symbol. I can't figure that out.
trapshot25 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Take 60 west to Monett , south on 37 to Gateway Ar then left on 62 toward Eureka look for sign on right hand side to Beaver Dam will pass store before you gettothe dam. Was down there sunday and did real well on olive bead head wooley bugger.
Lshack2 Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 I fished Sunday p.m. As well and midges during winter in 18's or 20's generally work well. I did well on a ruby midge and camel zebra with copper bead. It's hard to beat brown /olive are generally good day in and day out. Jason R. Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 Fished there alot in college- olive, red, and grey. I found that I did better on dull colors and non-shiny bead heads. Favorite midge for there is a size 16 grey zebra midge with black wire and a "tarnished gold" tungsten bead. http://flyinthesouth.com/
