Members Hatch 82 Posted December 8, 2012 Members Posted December 8, 2012 Here's a caddis pattern I created it has fished well on Crane and in the Driftless Area of Wisconsin. The link is for the recipe on Hatches magazine's web site http://hatchesmagazine.com/blogs/Hatches/2012/12/06/rylees-pullover-caddis-by-lucas-langton/
Wayne SW/MO Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Nice, the EHC has always been a good producer for me. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members Pflugradt Posted December 10, 2012 Members Posted December 10, 2012 I love the complex simplicity of it. That's a great adaptation of a classic pattern and they WILL be in my box. Steve Check out my warm water flytying and flyfishing how to.
jdmidwest Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 That foam should keep it up for a while. Have you tried it without the hackle, just pulling over the foam? "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Members Hatch 82 Posted December 11, 2012 Author Members Posted December 11, 2012 I haven't tried it w/o the hackle. I tied it with the hackle to keep it closer to the original EHC. I'm sure it would work and you could tie them pretty quick by removing the hackle.
