Scouted around Coney Island area on Table Rock this afternoon. Saw 2 mallards and 5 golden eye. Did manage to find a cove where about 20 geese were spending their afternoon. Hung around the point and fished for about and hour before they decided to get up and fly out over me. Ended up getting 2 of them. Did not lead the 3rd bird quite enough. I'm sold on it now Scott! They just up and crumpled from 40 yards out.

out on the rock today, with the clear skies, most of the birds I saw were moving 15 minutes before shooting time. then pretty slow, did manage a loner mallard & a loner scaup that came in to the deeks nice with wings set! was out yesterday also, and saw more birds for about the first hour, but the high winds were no good for my spot, saw very few divers.no birds bagged yesterday.will try again tomorrow morning. good luck all!.

FNF, those numbers are pre-front, from the fourth and fifth, front was 8-9th. I'd like to see the numbers from today/tomorrow.

And here they are http://gfp.sd.gov/hunting/waterfowl/counts/week05.aspx not down by much, take into account all the refuge and wma counts and the birds are STILL ( sighhhhh) up north. I just hope the PPR gets tons and tons of rain this spring and we have a even better hatch so when we finally get a real winter we can get in on some historic gunning.
