Guest Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Hey TrophyFishR, got the baits today, they look great! I think I might send you some other cranks to paint! send them on down! The dead of winter is the best time to paint lures. Springtime is fishing season. what did you think of that prototype worm?
hoglaw Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Jerry, you just lost all credibility to the extent you had any. Posting in another man's forum to direct folks to a "competing" product is about as low as it gets. I build rods that, in my opinion, knock the socks off of anything off the rack yet you don't see me douching up other folks' threads talking about how my rods are better. I've known Trophy for years and know that he does A1 first class work on baits and you don't see me pimping his wares when other folks are trying to sell lures. You say your manners went out the window to try and shrug this off, but that doesn't excuse anything...particularly when you didn't say you were sorry or edit your low life comment. You're pretty low. As to Trophy's baits, I can tell you that he ain't doing them for a living and none of these were painted with the intent to sell them. He may not talk himself up enough but I sure as heck will. He is a craftsman and a darn good one. All of these baits were made with the intent of keeping them or selling them to friends for about cost. You won't find anyone as dedicated to making sure they "run right," and he culls as many as he fixes with pliars if not more. Any bait he's willing to give to another person - you can rest assured that it's been on the end of his rod. But I've said enough. The folks who know what's up have probably snatched up all that are for sale and I guarantee they'd all buy more next year.
Sore Thumbs Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Bout to pull the trigger myself. You have any that are bright red? Need some for stained water.
