Got there at 1000, pulled out at 1400. Fishing was not good for me, 3 black bass total, tube and jerkbait. About the first hour after I launched it was cold and dead calm, wind picked up and almost instantly started blowing pretty hard, windy conditions just don't fit my fishing style, so I left a bit earlier than I normally would have.

Some days just aren't meant to be. Donna and I had a similar experience on Beaver. Fished 11-dark for two short brownies and one nice keeper LM.

lol - Champ probably agrees. He's not a Beaver fan. She's been pretty mean to us, but we are planning on fishing the Polar Bear New Year's Day. Jerk bait, jerk bait, jig and - oh, yeah - jerk bait.

Yeah. I'm fishing in that too. If i see you guys i will come introduce myself. I hope you guys get a chance to prefish for me:-) Beaver got my lower unit a couple of Saturdays ago so i won't be out there til the tournament. Jig bite has been good out there around docks with a steep drop. Especially with wood around them. Haven't thrown jerkbait much. Been forcing that wiggle wart on em. Curious if this cold front is gonna put em where they should be finally. Good Luck.

Curious where exactly you lost your lower unit? Just want to avoid it myself. Sorry to hear about it.

Between Coppermine and Rocky branch. On a flat that goes way out. It could happen anywhere out there right now. Stick to the channel and u should be fine
