My plan was to hunt this morning, but due to the fact I am sick again it didn't happen. Could be the least I have hunted since I was to young to go...

We went back out this morning. Ended up with 3 green wings and 2 gaddies. Did see a few more big ducks out there today flying over. I don't know if they were new ducks or just ones iced out of local ponds, but did see a few more ducks than usual today. Gonna hunt they pill box out on the main lake of the Rock in the morning and see what happens. Might end up heading to Stockton or Truman by the afternoon.

Made it back home today after a nightmare of a drive through Littlerock, Hunted this morning from the backyard at dads house and had snows and specks flying over for an hour nonstop, Pulled the specks out fast and then shot snows till momma called us in for breakfast. Snow line pushed birds right to us and it was great. 4 day total for the family was insane bucks, ducks and geese. I can say I love being down there for how lazy the goose shooting it is and make no mistakes it pure pass shooting as they come out of the field over the house at 10 to 30 yards or bumrushing fields for them. The ducks Papa has a oxbow off Coon Bayou that holds ducks but with two inches of rain yesterday it washed all the left over grain into every slew and bayou and those birds were piling in took us 5 minutes for 12 guys after breakfast to limit.

Now its back on Beaver tomorrow to see about some diver action.

Well, the pill box on Comb's Ferry was a bust again today. Only stuck with it till about 8:00 a.m. Cruised the lake a little bit and did see about 2 dozen mallards around Show Me Ball Camp area. Pulled the boat out and headed to lower Taney to scout it out. Drove the gauntlet between Rockaway and Forsythe and saw good numbers of gadwall. Took to boat back to Rockaway and launched around 10:30 a.m. Headed up to Bull Creek area and found a few birds up there too. Set the decoys out for about an hour and managed to pick up two mallards. Wind was not quite right for where I was at so picked every thing up and headed out. Looking forward to tomorrows hunt. Looks promising!
