Members Rustynuts Posted August 3, 2013 Members Posted August 3, 2013 Taneycomo, I know the fish you dont land are always biggest, but I belive ive seen that record. Fishing just above Fall Creek and catching 10 in stockers with the kids when the wife latched onto the bottom, then the bottom started moving and when she came in view the most beautifull color pattern smallie opened her mouth and let slip out the 10.65 in trout my wife had felt take her clouser. Since then have gone to throwing heavier grubs and other bass baits and have some 4-5 pounders caught from the troutwater of fall to cooper creek and know that that record is in there somewhere.
Mitch f Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 Rusty, I have to agree with you on that. I know there are some honkers in there. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Old plug Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 MITCH ---- I agree about catching them off the beds. It is really vary easy to do. Anything you put in front of a bedding bass will get hit. I just do like to see it. I have passed them by for years. As soon as you tske that bass from that bed all the bluegills are going to charge in there and devour the eggs.
Mitch f Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 Old Plug, I don't specifically fish for bass on beds but right before and after. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
