Members rebelman Posted November 2, 2006 Members Posted November 2, 2006 This guy came after my canoe one day.
Members rebelman Posted November 2, 2006 Author Members Posted November 2, 2006 cottonmouth with massive body. See his yellowish head coming out of the water? See his gray body stretching up onto the bank? He was aggressive. I was scared.
Terry Beeson Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 You sure that's not the giant Taneycomo squid? Yep... looks like you were "skeered" alright... the camera was shaking a bit... Was this on the Stawberry River? Usually, cottonmouths are not aggressive unless provoked or being protective. But, stil... I don't like no part of no snake of no kind... "only good snake is a dead snake".... (Before anyone says it, no I don't kill EVERY snake I see....) TIGHT LINES, YA'LL "There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." - Paul O’Neil
ollie Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Sorry dude, I don't think anyone see's the same thing you did from that photo. "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

Ham Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 I got way too up close and personal with a Cottonmouth on the Strawberry River. I was trying to show my sone the "dead" snake. He assured me it was alive, but I knew better. My bad. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
