cottonmouth with massive body. See his yellowish head coming out of the water? See his gray body stretching up onto the bank? He was aggressive. I was scared.

Yep... looks like you were "skeered" alright... the camera was shaking a bit...

Was this on the Stawberry River?

Usually, cottonmouths are not aggressive unless provoked or being protective. But, stil... I don't like no part of no snake of no kind... "only good snake is a dead snake".... (Before anyone says it, no I don't kill EVERY snake I see....)

:blush: I got way too up close and personal with a Cottonmouth on the Strawberry River. I was trying to show my sone the "dead" snake. He assured me it was alive, but I knew better.

My bad.
