We've seen generation almost every morning, esp weekdays, for the past few weeks but this morning there's no generation. This may be a pattern for the rest of the week. Looking at the forecast, it looks like balmy weather all week, highs today and tomorrow into the 60's with a little rain Wednesday and a little cooler.

Froggy on the lake this morning but it's cleared and boats are starting their way uplake... what few there are. But our business picks up today thru the week so... trout- get ready!

It may be a good time for the locals to fish, at least as to crowds. We went into Branson last night to eat and it was all but deserted. We'll see I guess.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I was there this afternoon and I was surprised as well when they blew the horn and nothing really happened. I think maybe it did come up a bit but not much at all. I've never seen that before. How did everyone else do? I just had an OK afternoon. Maybe caught 15 in the 4 hours I was there. About like last weekend. I haven't caught anything of any size the last 2 weeks. Lots of small stockers with an occasional 13 or 14 incher. I did catch 3 browns today though. I'm not complaining though it sure beats working! Over the last summer and fall I caught so many fish in the 18 to 20 inch range. I guess it spoiled me.

I Drove down from StL Monday morning to fish, camp that night and fish again Tuesday. First, when you wake up and and have to put a stocking hat on, IT'S COLD!!!

The fishing was as good as I've seen it since the new reg's. Caught fish all day, both days, on a variety of flies and technigues. Swinging buggers, drifting scuds and an awesome dry fly bite in the afternoon. People all around me were hooking up. Loved that they blew the horn and didn't run water on Monday. I had the whole area below rebar to myself for an hour or so. And that hour was awesome. All rainbows and one brown. One male rainbow well over 20".

I remember about 15 years ago I was fishing that area below rebar and wasn't doing particularly well when an old guy walks up beside me. He plunks down his worm container and lawn chair and starts rigging his baitcaster. He puts a big ole worm on and slings it out. He sits down and looks at me and says "how's fihing"? I told him I wasn't doing well when he sets the hook on a real nice fish and pulls it up on the rocks and puts it on a stringer. 4 nice trout later he packs up and leaves. I was thinking about that guy Monday when I got to catch those 18 - 20 inch trout. Only now they are still in there.

Even with all the people a lot of fish were caught and I didn't see a shuffler. In fact, the crowd was very pleasant and respectful. What a great fishery! Thanks to all who helped to get the new reg's in place.

Snagged.

I was there from 11-1, but it was full and it was a case of fishing one or two spots. I knew I should have got my rear in gear earlier. I will say that there wasn't much of a crowd around the outlets, I too didn't see a shuffler. I didn't see a lot of fish caught, but with the water extremely low and a big crowd, I'm sure the fish were on the spooky side. They wouldn't rise to a Gnat, no matter how hard I tried to will them too.
