merc1997 Bo Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 i would say that dutch has the spot pinpointed. many boats run aground there. bo
dtrs5kprs Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 At 905-906 there are definitely some pucker spots up there. Not the casual "run where you want" of TR.
Bird Watcher Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Aw heck. Just remember. The faster you are going, the less boat you have in the water.
Josh Holt Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 lol thats what the guy in the ranger thought till he came to a dead stop lol

Jason Essary Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 he is correct. I hit it last monday. Lucky I was easing along and hit it where it was still kinda deep. dinged my lower and prop a little but no true harm. Scared my partner half to death. Was probably going 15. LOL. dtrs5kprs Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Found that one several years ago, but was fishing not running. Not sure how much I trust the relative security of running the channel swing up there either. Have seen plenty of folks run hard going in and out of Flat, but that is an area where I start to think about repair bills and the wisdom of idol speed with lots of trim. Trim it high and let it fly works a lot better on lakes with a mud bottom, like the Mississippi River.
