Guest Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Table Rock Crappie 2013a.jpg Table Rock Crappie 2013b.jpg I think I've cleaned enough crappie for a while. Nice fish! I never get tired of cleaning crappie! LOL thanks for sharing
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 16, 2013 Author Root Admin Posted February 16, 2013 Tried something different (for me) tonight. Left the skin on the crappie fillet and grilled them. Held together fine. No skin - they fall apart when you take them off the grill.
abkeenan Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Nice Phil, When we have tried grilling fish we put them in tin foil with butter, garlic and S&P (lemon squirt if that's your thing). That way they don't stick to the grill, don't break/flake apart, keep the juices in/don't dry out and can wrap them up to keep them warm before serving. Turns out pretty good and works for trout with skin left on also. That said nothing beats the ol' deep fryer!
