Favorite Scents

Me and some guys were talking the other day about scents and I was wondering if you guys use scent for your largemouth and if so what is your favorite scent and brand or in your mind are they useless and do you spray all your baits or just plastics

I am kinda in the same boat. I have never used anything on my baits. I asked this question about a month ago on Bass Boat Central and got a lot of feedback. I think the overall consensus was that it doesn't get you more bites or attract them to your bait per say and its not going to turn you into KVD but most guys said that the bites that you do get the fish will hold the bait longer without spitting it up thus giving you a better shot of putting them in the boat. I recently bought some Megastrike in crawfish and plan to put it on my plastics and jigs but not my moving/reaction baits like cranks and spinnerbaits. I bought this because I have heard guys swear by it and it was in a tube and looked to be about the simplest/less messy to use. Just a squeeze tube that doesn't take up space. Will give it a shot this year, can't hurt I guess.

yeah I dont see it bringing fish in but I agree with you I think it is possible for it to make them hold onto it longer but I have never used it some of the guys I was talking to swear by it and some think its a waste of time and money lol

I used to swear by BANG. Prefishing for a tourney I left it on the deck and the bottle blew out. I ran all over Osage Beach looking for it to no avail. Ended up taking second without it. Ever sense that day I dont feel I need it. I think it is a confidence thing.

I think the KVD shad and crawfish fish sticks may make the fish hold onto a bait a split second longer. Maybe. They rub on like Chapstick, I've been using them when I think about it, but I'm not religious about it by any means.
