Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 14, 2013 Root Admin Posted March 14, 2013 I'm in the white Grizzley, black lab if anyone comes up.
RSBreth Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 I was there earlier today and over at Shadow Rock on Swan - just a few little fish. It'll happen but not yet.
vacation Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Was there today myself at swan and talked to a guy at the fish cleaning station who had his limit of whites, said he caught em 1/4 mi past barker hole on a white slider. I caught only bass this afternoon using a swimming minnow.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 15, 2013 Root Admin Posted March 15, 2013 Just pulled out of beaver creek. 3 gills. Started at 10 this am. Tough day. Fished from snapp to almost barker. Mostly up beaver.
ozarkgunner Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I fished pomme with no bites. I feel your pain. Angler At Law
vonreed Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 I'm in the white Grizzley, black lab if anyone comes up. Hey Phil, I was there in a older white fiberglass boat with 2 dogs and my 4 yr old son. I saw you off and on all day but didn't know it was you. We was there from noon to 7:15 I only caught 2 whites about 30 mins before I left. Back to back and then the school moved upstream and I saw 2 more caught upstream. Josh was down there but I don't know if he caught much. There was a guy along the bluff using minnows who was there most of the day. He caught several walleye and I think a couple black bass. I drifted it with worms and got stripped a few times in the deep hole.
Dutch Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Yep it sure was tough. They either mover on up the creek or dropped back out. We need some running water to get them on the move on a more consistant basis.
Members kyled Posted March 15, 2013 Members Posted March 15, 2013 I am glad I was not the only one who could not get a bite. I am pretty sure we fished every color of minnow and slider produced. I saw a bunch of boats in Beaver when we got there but never saw a fish caught. Fishing was so slow most of the conversation in the boat was due to how high the flood line was on tht bluff. Hard to believe water gets that high.

I actually had some OAF stickers with me in case I ran into someone who wanted any. I need to get the resort's name on the Griz. I knew we probably missed some fish by leaving early but we were tired. Started too early. A boat with 3 guys said they had caught 19 whites but not in the creek. Another guy at the ramp was telling a boat launching to go uplake, around the bend and fish the flats, that they'd caught some up there. If you can find then in the main lake- that's the place to get them right now. There was current in the main lake yesterday cause they're running water out of Table Rock. Just a little but enough to move some water. I'd drift minnows on the flats if I was going back during the day.
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 15, 2013 Posted March 15, 2013 Hard to believe water gets that high. They held it there all winter and it sure didn't help the bank fishermen. Contrast this year we need some of it. Wishes, wishes , wishes. After they dropped it it made for a good spring level though. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
