Feathers and Fins Posted May 23, 2013 Posted May 23, 2013 No thanks got me a nice Yule Log already https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Feathers and Fins Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Looks like she is almost at 25 and weather has some rain for this week so probably will hit it and then some. Maybe see 27 and lets hope no further or it could become gates open time again. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Quillback Posted May 27, 2013 Posted May 27, 2013 Yep she's high enough IMO, hopefully it will stay high at least until the spawn is over and will provide cover to the fry.
Stump bumper Posted May 27, 2013 Author Posted May 27, 2013 When I started this thread I was thinking two year drought and the start of a new dust bowl, boy was I wrong. Seems we are going to get this year's rain and last years. So glad to see the grass coming back, ponds full and the lake back into the brush. Glad I didn't win this one, I have mowed the lawn more times this year than in all of 2012.
JohnF52 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Hey whats the top of the dam over the road elevation? with goverment cutbacks they might have to lay off the guy who opens the gates and we could have road flooding lmao, But have no fear the dems will blame the repubs the repubs will blame the liberals and the pope will somehow get blamed for not praying. Roadway 1142
Feathers and Fins Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 She is hovering around 1124.75 / 82 all weekend, Looks like Wend through Sun we will be seeing some rain and Thursday they are talking sever weather. So up she goes. If we get a major downpour at the level she is now I would expect to see debris really floating keep that in mind when boating it could start getting very dangerous. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
JohnF52 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 It's too high now for my liking. I hope it very slowly falls to about 1121-1122 after the hatch. 1121 is my favorite level for Beaver. Looks for now like the rain this week will not be excessive. Just enough to keep the lawn mowing going.
