Members RyanSTL Posted April 1, 2013 Members Posted April 1, 2013 I wonder when 33 is going to be back open for boat rental... I was at Busch yesterday (easter), they are renting boats for 33 again... All the snow melt and rain filled the lake enough for boats.. Yay!
Members badger88 Posted April 1, 2013 Members Posted April 1, 2013 I fished 35 yesterday. The lake looks in really good condition with the high waters. Especially if anyone remembers last year. The water was 51 degrees in most areas so still a bit cold for a whole lot of action but there were a few fish moving.

Haris122 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 When do they start stocking fish at Bush once winter is over? And if they started already what kind did they stock already?
Justin92297 Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 All I know about fish stockings at Busch besides trout is in the catfish lakes. Once a month they put in a bunch of eater sized channel cats. Not sure if they have started that yet
Haris122 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I heard that's supposed to start in May. But not sure if they put in any other fish before that. Hope it wouldn't be too slim pickings. I really need to catch some fish again.
Members badger88 Posted April 17, 2013 Members Posted April 17, 2013 How has everyone done out there so far?
Justin92297 Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 I went out on Sunday for an hour on lake six and caught some crappie off the dam. There was so many people fishing there I didn't bother working my way around the lake for bass
Greasy B Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I haven’t fished Busch yet this year but typically in mid April you can find the ubiquitous 12” Largemouth Bass roaming the surface in ravenous groups. If your expectations are modest they can be great fun sight fishing to on a light fly rod. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
stlfisher Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 fly rodding for 12 inch bass and bluegill is the way to go at Busch. They don't stock any fish besides trout, catfish, and muskie on occasion. .
