Troutnut69 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 As everyone else has said , had a great time Justin. Really appreciate all of the work you did to make this happen (I know it was supposed to be a weekend off for you but everytime I turned around you were working at something!). Already looking forward to the 2nd annual Sunburst Ranch DriftBoat Conclave.
OKFlyFisher44 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Gonna sound like a broken record here but we had a great time as well Justin. Really really appreciate all the work and hospitality! You guys are awesome! This will be an annual event for the CTD crew from now on, no doubt! The fishing wasn't too bad either.... Chance ...I'm haunted in my dreams of waters I have yet to fish and trout I have yet to catch... Chasing the Dream...
Justin Spencer Posted April 17, 2013 Author Posted April 17, 2013 That fish looks bigger than 24", did you come up with a length? I think I caught that fish 5 years ago and it was 19", only brown I've ever caught there. :-) Congrats, and thanks for a great photo. We marked it on the net and when I got home, I put a tape measure to it. I think its pretty safe to say that its a solid 25" fish. I don't think its bigger than that but other people have said otherwise. A couple guys was saying 28" but there is no way. It had a huge head and belly. Very healthy.... Can't wait to come back! We might be back this weekend, not sure yet. Smallmouth are calling my name... Chance ...I'm haunted in my dreams of waters I have yet to fish and trout I have yet to catch... Chasing the Dream...

We shocked a 26" fish and I'd say it's real close to that category, that girth can really fool you, much bigger than a White river 25" (usually). Brian Wise Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Wow! In the bright sunshine. Great fish. Get a streamer in front of the right fish at the right time and the sun could be 3' from the water surface and it will still eat. My Youtube Channel
