I will be coming down with family in 2 1/2 weeks for the weekend. My guess is it will be very tough fishing. We only bass fish and will be willing to fish the middle part of the lake. Any help would be great!

Thanks

Should not be to tough at all in a couple of weeks. Follow this board and for sure you will get some goodies to put to work.

A bit more details on your location and your boat and equipment will help us help you, so give us a bit more and we will see if we can POINT you in the right direction.

Good Luck

Stickbait wiggle wart and smoke grub would be my choices. The rig will work if you like to throw it. Ten days of nice weather will get it going. Don't forget a football jig.

You have asked a few questions.

I would say that we would be willing to fish 7 miles from Joe bald. This would include the white, james and kings arms.

I have a fiberglass bass boat with a 175 motor.

I have sonar with gps for electronics.

Me and my kids fish for bass exclusively. I generally give them a crank bait and that satisfies them. I would rather them catch many even if they are not of legal leangth. I would prefer to catch a few big ones.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Sent you a PM. The Kings is a good long ride from Joe Bald, especially if it blows at you, but you should be able to do just fine from Kimberling to Baxter, and up the James a couple of miles.

Fished from point 10 to Kimberling City today. 7am-2pm.

Used top water in the wind and a red and white spinnerbait in the coves. caught about 20, with nine keepers. Best five weighed over 17 pounds!

What a great day!

One thing about throwing topwaters to prespawn fish in 50-degree water ... you don't have to worry about them being overly conditioned to your lure.
